Michael Xu

Michael is entering his second year at the University of Western Ontario, where he studies Medical Sciences. He joined UAEM last year, becoming involved with both the Western chapter and the Access Dashboard committee. Since then, he has served as a workshop speaker at the 2026 UAEM North American Conference, become Vice President of Access at Western, and contributed to the ongoing efforts to publish the Global Health University Access Dashboard. 

Outside of UAEM, Michael enjoys snowboarding, spending time outdoors, and exploring his interests in medicine and surgery. He is excited to continue working with UAEM to explore healthcare from a broader perspective, using advocacy and policy to address the systemic barriers that shape access to medicines and care.
