Saumya Kumar
Saumya is a senior at the University of California, Los Angeles. She first joined UAEM out of a passion for healthcare and a desire to address the health disparities she witnessed in her clinical experience. Over her three years with UAEM, she has served her UCLA chapter and helped host the 2026 North American Conference. She most recently interned in Washington, D.C., where she researched drug pricing, pharmacy policy, and listened in on hearings on the hill. Outside of advocacy, Saumya loves yoga, content creation, café and restaurant reviews, and exploring new places with friends and family. She hopes to become a physician and use her advocacy to build more equitable healthcare policy.
