Mridula Bharathi

Mridula is a second-year Neuroscience student at Yale University. She joined Yale UAEM after witnessing the impacts of medication inaccessibility within her community and beyond, through conversations on her podcast and her experiences working at a free clinic. As part of Yale UAEM, she has worked to advance university and state level policy advocacy efforts. Beyond UAEM, Mridula is the host of The Neurological Disorder Podcast, where she advocates for individuals affected by rare neurological conditions, and is involved in clinical neuroscience research on post-stroke epilepsy at the Yale School of Medicine. She also works to spread stroke awareness in underserved communities and advocate for related policy efforts aimed at reducing the national burden of stroke.

 Mridula is passionate about combining perspectives from patient interactions, clinical research, and policy advocacy to help build systems in which research and policy reflect the priorities of the patients and communities they are ultimately meant to serve.
