UAEM Europe Training Camp

  • Akazien Strasse 3A Berlin Germany (map)

More than two billion people worldwide lack access to the medicines they need, and many new medicines start life at universities, often funded with public money. That gives students real leverage. Want to use it?

Join us for a weekend training camp where you’ll learn the basics of access to medicines and the skills to take action on your own campus. Together we’ll cover:

  • Access to Medicines 101: how medicines are developed, and how public funding, patents and licensing shape prices and availability

  • Transparency in clinical trials: how to use freedom of information requests to uncover unpublished trials at your university

  • Media, campaigning and teamwork: talking to the press, building a strong chapter, and learning from successful campaigns

  • Guest talk on the 198 methods of nonviolent direct action

On Sunday, you’ll brainstorm with or for your chapter, and leave with a ready-to-go action plan. UAEM will support you with materials and advice after you go home.

Who can join? Students in Europe aged 18–30, from any discipline. No prior knowledge needed: newcomers are just as welcome as active UAEM members. Places are limited to 15 participants.
