UAEM International Strategic Plan 2026-2030

June 12, 2026

UAEM’s 2026-2030 International Strategic Plan (ISP) guides UAEM’s strategy and direction for the next five years.

The ISP consists of 3 pillars, guided by UAEM’s mission, and represent the core components of UAEM’s advocacy:

  1. Power

  2. Access

  3. Inclusive Innovation

The three pillars outline how we will bring our mission and vision to life: We equip our university communities with political advocacy skills to hold decision-makers accountable, win concrete change in access to medicines, and bring new advocates into the access to medicines movement. We demand that all people have access to medicines and health technologies and that publicly funded research institutions and universities prioritize researching solutions for neglected health needs instead of profit-driven innovation.

The ISP is designed to be flexible, accounting for how the ever-changing nature of the global political landscape. Every chapter and member is encouraged to adopt the plan to fit their local and national context in more detail.
