Build Your University Access Campaign

August 28, 2026

Students and researchers across UAEM’s chapter network are working for policy change at their universities to support socially responsible licensing and other mechanisms as well as sharing biomedical research innovations without barriers to access.

This work is contributing to our goal to shift our institutions’ policies to promote access to medicines, not obstruct it. We believe that medicines and health technologies, particularly those developed at universities and public research institutions or with public funding, must be made available, accessible, and affordable to all people in a timely manner. Our universities should take action against health injustice, not reproduce it.

To support students and researchers in building a campaign at their university, our UAEM North American Access and Empowerment Committees have launched the How to Grow Your Chapter training. This training will walk you through all the key components to building an access campaign from the ground up at your university.

To access the training, make a free account in our Chapter Handbook.
