Emily Meyer

Emily Meyer is a medical doctor and field epidemiologist. She was an active member in UAEM as a student in the Freiburg chapter, Germany, from 2012 to 2017, did the local Freiburg chapter coordination from 2013-2017 and was the German national coordinator from 2015-2016. With the support of others, she launched the political advocacy group to advocate directly to members of parliament.

Since graduating from med school, Emily worked in humanitarian aid, focusing on preventing and controlling outbreaks. Providing access to life-saving medicines and health services is her underlying motivation for this work, which is a direct result from her engagement with UAEM as a student. Since 2022, she works with Doctors without Borders (MSF).
