Karamo Conteh
Karamo Conteh is a public health advocate and social justice campaigner from The Gambia, now based in Germany. He holds a Master’s degree in International and Development Economics and has led grassroots initiatives on drug policy reform, tobacco control, and youth empowerment, including founding The Gambia chapter of Students for Sensible Drug Policy. Karamo has worked with NGOs across Africa and Europe in project coordination, advocacy, and community-led development, with training from Johns Hopkins University in global tobacco control and from Tostan in human rights and community empowerment. He is passionate about equitable access to medicines and strengthening grassroots movements for global health equity.
