Access to Medicines Week

Participate in this year's Access2Meds Week!

Let’s work together to draw attention to the need for new approaches to R&D and ultimately, a needs-driven research system, in order to prevent AMR from becoming an even more serious global health threat than it already is and to make sure we aren’t late to the game in addressing future global health challenges! We want to work with you and your chapter to make our A2M week the best week possible for UAEM! Let us know what your chapter wants to do or is doing and if you have any questions or concerns email ali@uaem.org with Access to Medicines Week in the subject line.

EACH YEAR UAEM CHAPTERS AND STUDENT MEMBERS ORGANIZE A COORDINATED GLOBAL ADVOCACY WEEK IN THE FALL TO HIGHLIGHT AND DRAW ATTENTION TO A SPECIFIC ACCESS TO MEDICINES ISSUE ON CAMPUSES AROUND THE WORLD.

During our Annual Access to Medicines Week UAEM chapters and student members can engage in a variety of actions and events to raise global awareness about our chosen access-related issue including:

1. Submitting a blog or OpEd to their school’s newspaper or website
2. Tabling on campus and hand out printed resources about A2MW and UAEM’s current campaigns
3. Planning a workshop, teach-in or movie screening, trivia or pub night, panel or speaker event, etc.
4. Organizing a direct action such as a protest or flash mob on campus
5. Participating in our A2MW social media activities: Use #access2medicines or #a2mweek and visit our Access to Medicines Week Facebook page to post updates on what your chapter is doing. We want to see pictures of your activities and events!
6. Joining in our annual Picture Contest to highlight the work of our dedicated members across the world
